All of mine have been 2006 models and I haven't had any major issues.
But then they highlight sticky steering and roof motor problems. I've only had Coupes and my MC has Hydraulic PAS so no worries there!
If they are right E89s look like a safe bet, but we all know about Salmon Relays, roof corrosion, electric handbrake, HPFP, injector and adaptive suspension issues.

Coupes because stunning!

I’m glad mine’s a 2004
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

So according to that bollox, all E85s and E86s, apart from a few 2004s. I wonder why that was such a glorious year?
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Whenever I come across stuff like this that's obviously rubbish and I know it's rubbish because I happen to know something about the topic, it reminds me to be vigilant to all the other stuff out there on topics I actually don't know about.

I think people are misreading this. It’s not saying that a 2004 is unreliable. It’s saying it’s marginally less reliable on a very reliable car.
Now I’m not even saying that it’s accurate and I only posted it because of the debate aspect.
I always find reliability stats interesting. Range rovers have terrible stats, but while I have loads of friends who had so many issues with them, I have a couple of swear by them. No matter what you tell them, they keep saying they haven’t had any issues and love them.

What a load of bullocks. My 2007 2.5si will be hitting the 100k miles next month and it's been a great car in the six and a half years I've had it. It had 32k miles on the clock when I bought it.

2003 had a number of design faults fixed in 2004. The petrol flap falling off was one of them and there was a whole load of fixes that came in 2004.

Since this seems to be auto generated, I assume it has to do with number of Z4s produced per model year. Higher number of cars per MY gives higher number of faults for those years.
