BoJo episode 2 (this time it's personal)

Post by Vornwend » Sun Oct 23, 2022 9:10 pm

Alexander de Pfeffel Johnson just announced he won't run - thank f**k for that! Claims he had 102 nominations but I suspect far less and now trying to save face by claiming to be acting in the countries best interest  Flew back from the Dominican Republic to wish Rishi and Penny well - yeah right  Be the first time in his life he's pulled out in time too!

As one commentator put it "It’s like that time when I had an offer to play for Liverpool but decided, in the event, that it was for the best if i pressed ahead with my history degree." :D

So Rishi got beaten by Truss, which makes you think that she was the better choice in the parties eyes.
So if he gets in what sort of a mess is he going to make.

Someone has finally told Boris that it ain't gonna work and he should be concentrating (when he's finished his exotic holidays) on the investigations by the PSC for lying to the commons (no mention of the public obviously).

If it's Penny vs Rishi, then Penny is sure to win from the 'party' vote. The average right wing, racist, members of the CP will vote for the white girl, come what may (they did last time).

My vote (not that I get one) would be for Penny, as she has a pretty name and is quite good to look at. Shallow? That's what it has become! :|

But he came second and the winner was a fuckwit, so by elimination he should get the job, surely?

This is what our democracy has come to. And while they are fecking about, our pensions are dropping by £500 a day and interest rates are going up by 2% a week because the 'markets' don't like this shite.

I have an idea: why don't we just ask Manhattan Chase and Barclays International who they would prefer and just give them the job? it may save a great deal of time and (our) money! :)

Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Someone had some foresight with this song:

It should be Rishi's theme tune from now on IMHO!

The 1922 committee has confirmed he did have 102 votes. He pulled out because Rishi would not do a non aggression deal whichever one won.
Boris would not have been able to form a cabinet and he knew it.

Now for the higher taxes, lower benefits and backtracking on the triple lock for the pensioners. Add to that austerity Mk2, oh joy indeed, but at least the city will be happy and calm so where's the problem?

Military pension increases in April are calculated on the CPI of the previous September.
Just been announced as 10.1%
If he tries to backtrack on that he's picked the wrong bunch of people!!!

Can't be bad!
If I don't give myself a 10% pay rise this year I am going to strike and withdraw my labour from myself. That will teach me. :(

Same here with my pensions - not often I'm happy to see inflation rise but hope it tracks down to more reasonable levels from now on
