Glad you’re OK buzyg, you must have been SO cross. It’s a stark reminder to all of us - make sure you’re taxed and have decent insurance, and above all take care.

I know you loved your MR so that is terrible news John.

But at least you weren't hurt. I hope you get a decent insurance settlement.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to keep it after that but maybe someone will be able to keep it on the road.

Good luck deciding what is next.

Sorry to hear this but another one pleased to learn that there are no physical injuries.

Is it viable to buy the “wreck “ and repair?

buzyg wrote: Tue Oct 04, 2022 12:18 pm A sad day in the BuzyG house hold. My beloved ///MR has just been written off.

The incident occurred last Wednesday about 200yards from our house. Another car pulled out on me, absolutely nothing I could do. I didn't even have time to apply the brakes. No one was hurt.

Just had the insurance on telling me they have had to write the car off. The engineers sounded genuinely gutted too. He had asked for more pictures and details of the damage, so clearly it was border line, hence it had taken a week before they came back to me.

Any way no one hurt and the insurance are paying about what I would think the car is worth. So I have the option to buy another. For now I will just get over it. Then see how things are. :(
So sorry to hear that, buzyg. Glad nobody was hurt, but that's bad News your z4m is written off.

Sorry to read this, I know it was part of the family .
No one was injured, which is the main thing.
What hit you, it's bad enough being hit by another vehicle, even worse when it's a crap box.

Really sorry to hear that John with how long youve had the car.

Anyway it is just a car and all that matters is your ok

The next owner of my Z4MC wrote it off within weeks and although it wasn't mine anymore I was gutted.

Gutted is about right Tom. But your 100% correct. it was just a car. A very beautiful car though.
