Sad Day

Post by buzyg » Tue Oct 04, 2022 12:18 pm

A sad day in the BuzyG house hold. My beloved ///MR has just been written off.

The incident occurred last Wednesday about 200yards from our house. Another car pulled out on me, absolutely nothing I could do. I didn't even have time to apply the brakes. No one was hurt.

Just had the insurance on telling me they have had to write the car off. The engineers sounded genuinely gutted too. He had asked for more pictures and details of the damage, so clearly it was border line, hence it had taken a week before they came back to me.

Any way no one hurt and the insurance are paying about what I would think the car is worth. So I have the option to buy another. For now I will just get over it. Then see how things are. :(

That’s such a shame, I feel for you :headbang:, have you thought of buying it back and repairing it yourself?

That’s hard when you’ve owned a car for a long time, but the most important thing is your health. Hope it didn’t shake you up too much

    A sad day indeed Mr G. :(

Sorry to hear the car has been written off but as you have said no one is hurt and that is far more important, take your time and find another one

Ah man, that is rubbish. Glad to hear nobody was hurt and that the valuation was ok.

Will you get the option to buy it back as salvageable?
