In my experience it’s usually middle aged women that laugh at me, especially when they see me with the roof down in the middle of winter don’t care, too much.

Most reaction I get is from similar people to me, ie 70+ silver haired gentlemen in garden centre and supermarket car parks. Always respect and admiration (with a little touch of envy!

Funny as the only comment I have had with the Z4 was in a garden centre car park last summer. A chap around 40 with his youngish kids walked past and said to his nippers "now that's a proper car"!

The ball and chain uses it most (her car officially), and at her work they call it "Heather's pulling car"!

I had one nasty ish indecent when I was driving in 20mph zone when a young chap walking with his girlfriend shouted something at me. I got to the roundabout at the end of the road and went back and there they were still walking. As I got closer she was looking embarrassed and looking away but he decided to shout that he hoped the car would break down. I smiled and carried on and thought "What a w*nker.
