Goodbye all

Post by Ian J » Sun Oct 02, 2022 6:36 am

Although I've had my lovely red Z4 for just over a year it has covered two summers but it's now time for it to go.

My mileage has dropped considerably in the last year and the car has only done 5,000 miles since June 2021 and is quite an expense for something that just spends most of it's time on the drive. I'm also not getting any younger and it gets more and more difficult getting in and out although once in the car is incredibly comfortable.

Due to the lengthy lead in time for new cars I managed to get back more than I owed and have bought a three year old VW T-Roc instead which won't be as much fun but will be more practical and certainly cheaper.

I've enjoyed reading and participating in the forum and would like to thank everyone for their help especially the fellow with the odd user name who always answered any technical problems I had no matter how daft and Argyll Andy who always made me laugh

You don’t have to be a Z4 owner to be a member here! I strayed away a couple of times but always kept in touch.

You mean the for sale threads? :D

No. I got a T-Roc ordinaire but it was the top of the range as I didn't want to miss out on the toys that I had got used to

There's a time for sports cars and it not for ever. You can still stick around and chat though.

Shame you are having to part with your Z4 but there comes a time when they are no longer practical for whatever reason. I hope the T-Roc fits the bill.

Good to see you will still be dropping by here too.
