folks wanted to take off the trims around the MF buttons and the steering wheel.
it's those black plastic bits as mine have worn a fair bit
want to get them painted to gloss black.
are they easy to remove? take out the air bag and unscrew/pull out the plastic trims?
thanks

Think it’s t10 or 15 screws behind
Airbag off, it’s best to take the wheel off too so follow the procedure of disconnecting the battery etc
The plastic bits will snap… as sure as night follows day!

Best remove the Airbag and the Steering wheel completely.
You will need to remove the rear Cowl off the steering wheel held on by 3 screws .
Once this is done you need to remove the screws from the individual trims
Gently prise the rear sections of Trims off with a plastic tool.
Here’s the tricky part…..gently push the the front pieces out by using the back end of a thin paint brush or similar.
Be very gentle as here is where the fastening stalks tend to snap
If they do snap…repair with a decent 2 part glue .
If you got this far ..you now ready to refurbish your trims
Good Luck

what is the best glue? Would an ABS glue be best or a model cement glue that's paintable?Umfaan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 8:01 pm Best remove the Airbag and the Steering wheel completely.
