A trip to birds
I had booked a quaife LSD to fitting at birds a few months back.
And today was the day … absolutely crap journey and turned up late . James was there to greet me and sorted me a much welcome cup of tea . I had a chance to talk to both Kevin and James about the car while I was there. Both very knowledgeable and open honest guys .
It took less time than I thought. And the trip back was better then the morning rush . Not had much chance to put it though the paces yet , but the few bends I found in the way home we adequate for me to end up smiling and see the potential…. Kevin and James…. Thanks so much for the work done today, and the advice form Kevin in particular as to the way forward.

You won’t regret it, expensive but fabulous piece of kit…probably the single best mod for wayward 35i/35is…

I saw this car in the metal at ‘simply BMW’ on Sunday, it looks even better than in his photos. Amazing.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.

If I had the spare cash I'd be doing exactly the same!
Birds are my new local indie, had the car in there for mot and service a couple of weeks ago - VERY expensive but worth it IMO. A whole different experience to any other garage I've ever been too.

Brilliant. Congrats.
For the funzies, if you feel like sharing, what’s the all-in cost of a Quaife ? Thanks.

Another nod to Birds, maybe expensive but they are very knowledgeable on all things BMW!

Reviews tend to be anti climatic..having had them on my 300 bhp 20i and 400bhp 35is..they just mean the rear wheels go round corners fairly independently of what you are doing with the throttle..the effect being highlighted in wet conditions..its a way of reducing drama whilst helping A-B times and speeds especiallly on poorer road surfaces..Deepseaskateboard wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 5:55 pmSeems about £1700 for a 35is
£1400 for a 4cyl. Not too bad, but we need to read the review!
Its like DSC+ but with no engine shutdowns or rear brake selective intervention..

Thanks for that
It was great to meet you at the show
Appreciate the positive feedback on the car
Thanks for the comments guys
Marcoose I paid a bit more for mine.
I had 2 options ….a complete new difff with housing… which was more…or they keep the car for a week and fit new components into my housing. I didn’t want to leave the car there . One because I can’t bear to be without it that long
And 2 because I’m an inpatient bugger and want it NOW!!
best thing to do is talk to Kevin or James for the option and price that suits you
