Looks really nice. Even though it’s not an S, it must still be around 190-200 hp/tonne so pretty much perfect for road use imo. Congratulations

RE the cabin noise : the wheels themselves are not Cayman spec , pretty sure they are 997 C4 so worth seeing what tyres are on size wise & what brand  my first drive in 997 C4 with Mrs W , she asked " is it supposed to be so noisy in here " :P it was on a virtually brand new set of PS4S , i sold the tyres & fitted new Vred Vorti & it was like a silent movie by comparison .
Thanks Andy.. its a good point, they're quite old tech Michelin sport n2 on there which probably doesn't help, it was specced with "19 inch turbo" wheels from new, not sure exactly what they were but if I refurb these I'll certainly look into a quieter tyre
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

It feels fantastic on the road, I would say the S definitely has more poke low down in the revs from my test drive experience but if you bave the base in the right gear and rev range it pulls like a train, perfect for the road.. could have bought a pre facelift S for the same or less money but the peace of mind of the new engine reliability was at the front of my mind

Very nice Steve, like the colour and wheels, the decals are a no for me but it wouldn't have stopped me if it was the right car.

I think the roof off motoring will be a miss - lets hope the drive makes up for it
