Yours should command at least £23.5k minimum and they would sell it for at least £29.5k
You are aware of how low a price Vertu offered for mine and I walked away and will never darken their doors again.
I remember that episode- they have tried the same stunt with me before

As I posted earlier - there’s a bmw offering in Wolverhampton £29.5k more miles 4x more owners
They would sell mine with a fanfare and ask a fortune for it!
One owner low miles excellent history no expense spared - I can see their advertisement now!!!!

It’s not going to happen - I’ve got my sensible head on again.

What didn’t impress me was how they attempted to bump up the price with the add ons.

The sneaky of sneaky being the Anniversary badges - they were on the car in the showroom but we’re certainly not a freebie! From memory here £300 I think - I don’t particularly like them either!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Ron, doesn't have to be an M40i. The 20 and 30 models are virtually the same as the 40 (seats, trim, tech etc) it's really just the 2l or 3l engine that's different. Oh and frozen paint :D

Could save a bob or two.

Keep your current car. Low mileage and sounds great. Definitely don't downgrade to 20i model, which is awfuly quiet.

I can’t foresee a time when my annual mileage will rise much above 4K - so maybe watch out for the For Sale advertisement circa 2027

“2016 35is - One owner 36,000 mile”

Make a note in your dIary!

Look, I think the m40i is a better car in every measure. That’s my opinion and isn’t shared by all. I had a 35is and I wouldn’t go back to it from my m40i.
However, 38k trade up seem really high.

Life is short. Drive the car, if you like it, but it, but sell your car elsewhere. Maybe even check what webuyanycar will offer you?
Maybe sell on the forum!

I agree life is very short and to be perfectly honest my mind has been in turmoil these last few days.
There certainly seems to be some continuity of supply these days.

The £38k was quite bonkers really - They had added all the extras at the invoice price. Including charging for the anniversary badges which aren't my cup of tea! £200/300 from memory

The car in the showroom was a high spec and Frozen Grey - I blow hot and cold about it. I was assured other colours were in the system ready for sales prep.

Wbac

Look a brand new fully specced car is 58k. Without any discount.

Comes down to affordability and if you really like the m40i.

The 35is is a great car. A really great car. I wouldn’t be disappointed driving it. Then again, I went for an m40i. ;)

I didn't get a breakdown but it started over 60k then the add ons started!
Then of course the paint/film protection - His discount wasn't anything like I was offered last year but then there was uncertainty of supply.

ronk, Do you really need the M40i? Do you drive your car hard all the time or usually just cruise?
I went for the 30i as it was both cheaper to buy and run and knowing Lynn hated it anytime I remotely drove the Porsche enthusiastically. Mind you, had I not still been biking I'd still have the Porsche.

Ron, have you tried Motorway, they may offer more than WBAC or you could try Crarwow.

For me the £38K to change is a nonsense and adding all the crap in has probably added £4k and yes they earn a load of commission on those products.

I would be sticking with the 35iS as no way do you get £38k of extra fun and at 4k miles a year the depreciation is going to hurt, right now you have had the worst of it on the 35iS

Were you paying car plus cash, sometimes your better of taking a finance product and getting a discount, make 2 payments and then pay off the finance.

Life is short but for certain their offer is a joke - if you are determined to go for a M40i then try several dealers before buying

Most of the time I just bumble about - On my holiday down to SW Germany 100/130 ish - so its a mixture of need.
I do like the feel of a 6cyl - but I'm the first to admit I haven't tried the new generation 4cyl engines

Not much point in paying for performance you won't use, try a 30i and see what you think.
