I think it was about that - There were so may add ons I lost track

I admit that I coughed up £850 for Tanzanite Blue when I bought the 335 because It was so attractive - The Frozen Grey, Im a little unsure yet and to make matters worse, my existing car is Grey - but shiney grey!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

The fancy paint is £1800 option I believe. Could be wrong though.

When I hear all of this I’m so glad that I’m really happy with my little e85 2.2. When I drive it I think I’m one of the luckiest people in the world. :D
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I’ve decided I’m going to stick!

As nice as a new one would be, it would be silly to Chuck £38K away for the 3k I do each year. If mine was getting tired or unreliable I would change- but it’s not.

I think the technology stuff In the G29 was the great attraction but I’m sure I can survive without it.

I’ve emailed the Dealer and formally said thanks but no thanks! I somehow suspect that I will be getting an incentive based email in return.

I just hope mrs k doesn’t think we can now afford Granite kitchen worktops!

Good luck with that!

Maybe if you tell her Granite is usually associated with headstones and memorials?

Choice has just become easier, granite worktops or G29.

I am sure you will get a call at some point - just tell them you are fixed firm and for the mileage you do your not spending £40k or if you were you buy another 3 series M sport

I would try the 30i before considering paying for the 40i. You may be surprised.

I test drove the 20i and after the 35is thought it was underpowered, but then we would wouldn't we. I find the extra horses from the 30i is more than sufficient for the driving I do now.

0-100k in the 35is is 4.8 secs, in the 30i it's 5.4, yes half a second slower but still no slouch. Yes if I had the cash I would get the 40i just for the hell of it but as a poor pensioner  the 30i does just fine.

The ride is different to the 35is, so I would have an extended test drive before making any purchase.

Don't go for granite worktops, they are cold. G29's are warm, friendly and much better to look at

I am struggling to process the fact that anyone who is contemplating spending that sort of money on changing a car hasn't already got granite worktops TBH. :o :poke:

I always, always fit granite when I fit a new kitchen. It gives a feeling of class and can make a cheap kitchen look expensive. The coldness is also excellent for making pastry! :D

I don't have a G29 but do have granite! Priorities....:P
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.
