My first boss. Known to us all as 'Auntie Betty'.
With RAF Marham being so close to Sandringham we saw a lot of her.
I don't know if anyone will ever truly comprehend the sacrifices she made to serve her country............to serve all of us.................for so long.
Goodbye ma'am, and thank you. :(

Somewhere I have a photo of my dad sat next to the then Princess Elizabeth (along with around 30 other Grenadiers). I remember him telling me she smelt wonderful, of roses, and although he was under strict orders to lean away from her while posing for the photo she nudged him with her elbow, gigling "I say, the camera chap has forgotten to take the cap orf the lens!"

Yes very sad and upsetting, she has work very hard for all of us regardless of creed or religion and it feels like the end of a very big and long era. There is no one that will match her or be able to replace her, she has always been there. Rest In Peace Ma'am.

Absolute diamond. A well deserved rest starts now.
Never known of anyone who worked harder, with such dedication to their vocation. She was universally loved, or at least liked.
She did the PM thing just two days ago when, as it turns out, she was obviously not well. Total dedication to her role.

Prince Philip deserves a mention too IMHO, as he stood by her side for all those years and allowed her to be the Monarch she was without interfering.

It is a very sad day. :(
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

RIP, Her Majesty the Queen, long live the King

How does one start to attribute all that she has done, all her accomplishments and the sacrifices she’s had to make during her reign

From over the pond my condolences to the UK People. The Queen was not only a symbol for your country but the world as well. She was a force that led your country thru many obstacles. She graced the world with her presence. RIP Your Majesty

A very special lady whose loss will be felt not just on these shores.

Had the privilege of making and sharing a pot of tea with her very early one morning when she was on a private visit locally. She had an uncanny knack of making everyone who met her feel at ease. One of a kind.

RIP.
