Crunch time.. Corvette or Cayman.. help me decide

Lots of mention of the Vette looking dated but tbh thats part of the appeal, its more a classic car ownership experience versus the sharp sports car ownership, personally I love how they look but I also think the Cayman is a great looking car, so really looks don't come into it, Id be happy in either quite honestly, I do get though the mentions of possibly tiring of the Corvette quite easily and I'm glad that was brought up as it wasn't something Id previously considered.

Unfortunately the Corvette is so thin on the ground I haven't even test driven one which is potentially part of the reason Im unsure, I think if i actually got out in one I'd know straight away

I do know though after testing the Cayman I came back with a grin and that warm fuzzy feeling of really enjoying something which I haven't felt for quite a while now on the bike or in the zed.. maybe I've answered my own question right there :?

Voted Caymen

Part of the fun of a sports car is over taking eh? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Severely limited in the Corvette :driving:

Me “fugly” surely not

….I voted Cayman, but agree with some others above, I’d go Boxster.

Perhaps it might be worthwhile purchasing a Posrsche Experience day at Silverstone (Porsche Centre), you can then test the Boxster and Cayman back to back on track.

I tried it with a Boxter and Carrera 4S - very enlightening!

I voted Cayman, not really into them as I’m a fan of Bimmer, but German beats US all day.

Voted Corvette.

If you want to be just another member of the herd, go Porsche. If you want to turns heads and look cool, Corvette every time

I voted Cayman mainly because as much as I love the looks of the Corvette and a lovely V8 I think the LHD would soon become a PITA, and I'm sure the Cayman would be much more fun.

If I really wanted a V8 I'd look for a Monaro or a RHD Mustang.
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Yes a RHD Mustang over a Corvette every time
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I voted Cayman on the basis of I think I’d get bored with the Corvette & find it a pain as a daily driver

I also from what you’ve written think the spec of the Cayman is better than the Corvette (?)

But I suspect the Corvette might be more of a head turner than the Cayman

However just for consideration … if your looking at this as a short term purchase then I’d go Corvette as once you’ve scratched the itch there are way more opportunities to own a Cayman

Voted Cayman but if it was a Stingray I might vote differently
