Does anyone know for certain where the coolant drain on the N54 is, I believe its the blue coloured plug on the radiator bottom.

There's the plug under the radiator but you need to drop the intercooler to reach that.
Some people drain the coolant by loosening the hose to the transmission cooler or even one of the hoses around the water pump.
Personally I like to drop the intercooler anyway as you can clear all the leaves and road debris that builds up around the intercooler and radiator.
