Replacement headlight assembly

Post by Samboyle5 » Wed Aug 10, 2022 11:22 am

Hi All

I am looking to replace the headlight assemblies on my 2007 Z4 2.0, does anyone have any recommendations?
Would swapping them out for new HALO lights be a straightforward job, or would I be better off sticking with replacing the OEM lights fitted?
First inquiry as to cost has retuned a price of £503 per unit.

Any help or advice gratefully received

many thanks :)

Hi and welcome to the forum. What is your reason for changing? If the lenses are cloudy, it’s an easy job with a £10-15 kit to polish them up. If damaged, there are (BMW OEM) repair kits available. If you want to upgrade from halogens, it can get complicated, as the wiring is different and you may need a different light control module. Alternatively buy an equivalent set on eBay for much less that £503 per unit.

My car has a 2Excite halo conversion which is very good but I didn’t fit it myself, so don’t know how difficult it was.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.
A little intro with a photo of your car would be appreciated when you get a moment.

I agree with all that Zedebee has said.
Maybe stick up a photo so we can understand your issue and what lights you currently have?
