I got in the car this morning and when I put the clutch down it stayed down, and I needed to flick it quickly with my foot for it come back up.
Kept doing it so I couldn't drive it.
Any ideas on what the cause may be?

Could be a dying slave cylinder, what's the current mileage? Could it be due a new clutch anyway?

No problem! If it's struggling to disengage the clutch (sticking to the floor) then it could be cylinder related - but there's much more mechanically minded folk on here than me though so hopefully they'll be able to help pinpoint!

I've just spoken to the mechanic I use - I like to pretend I have a slight understanding of these things first - and he agrees with what you've said.
It's booked in to have it replaced tomorrow. He said it is external to the gearbox, so a fairly straight forward job.
Thanks again.

Could get him to remove the Clutch Delay Valve at the same time?
Makes changes that bit nicer. Search CDV on here to see what I mean.
