Hi all, has this happened to anyone else? Need to know if it's fixable or am I looking at a new headlight? E86.

It is fixable mate & quite easy. But you have to take the bumper off to get the light removed. Once the light is removed take off the backing plate (while you have the backing plate off you might as well reverse fit the seal trim and smear lithium grease over it)

Then you can see 3 small fixing bolts, remove those and the bell can be removed giving you access to the inner light, the offending ring can then be manipulated back in place. With your fingers, revolve the ring around the hole and it will "find" its fixing point. Then you can pull, click it back in place. It is a faff but with patience can be done.

Cheers, tug
