As above, fitting b12 bilstein kit to e89 35i, front shocks have internal bump stops, but I can’t get clarity on if the rears should use bump stop , and if so, a bilstein one or reuse original one.
Anyone done this and have clarity?
I’ve asked bilstein tech… still waiting a reply.
Thanks all

E89 + bilstein b12 kit. Rear bump stop??
Hi Steve, sorry I can't help as I know next to nothing about Suspension.
I would however be keen to hear how the B12's go on the 35i as I would like to upgrade my suspension. I'm guessing its a fairly straight forward job for an indy mechanic? Cheers.

Normally on the rear you retain the OE parts unless it conflicts with the new parts..so OE bump stops should be retained…afaik…that’s what I did on the 20i with B8s…
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Thanks. That’s what we’ve done, but couldn’t find much definitive to confirm…

Yes.
Had concerns they’d be harsh , but no, ride remains compliant, definitely feel firmer damping, and less body roll . I fitted new front wishbones at same time, so with new shocks springs and rubber bushes in the wishbones, car felt more taught all round.
Cost..
I got these off a chap who fitted them for 6 months, he sold the car, removing a few bits and returned to stock and sold on upgrades… I only paid £230 so worth a punt.
Normally I see these £650+
We did add new rear bumper stops. The old ones were a sloppy loose fit so rattled a bit. New ones were much tighter and won’t rattle around
