I bet you have never driven over 70 either on the public roads.

I'm fully aware what the laws are and I am fully capable of making my own decisions.

Like I said I'm literally just turning the car around and moving it to another part of the driveway.

I'm hardly driving on the motorway. It's a residential estate full of speed bumps. The max speed anyone is doing is 20mph.

Did you know it's illegal to pay for a car park or drive through using your phone? Yet many airports and drive throughs allow this payment option?

There's leeway allowed for common sense.
Fine, but stop bleating on about a warning that's reminding you that you're breaking the law.

I'm not. I clearly stated I'm not the OP when I replied to you.

I just said that it can be annoying even if it's for literally 10 seconds.

Why not just plug the seatbelt in and sit on it if you are just moving it. :headbang:

I disabled mine with NCS Expert. You still get the dash light to warn you that you are breaking the law :poke:

Common sense would be to take 2 seconds to put on the seat belt rather than be annoyed for 20-30 seconds by the beeps.

Oi you!
You start insisting on common sense and we'll have very short uninteresting threads.

Yes, unusual for me I must admit. :D

I'm not Vulcan, or even part Vulcan, but it would seem logical. :headbang:

Logic would dictate that if there is a warning light for something that it is telling you something of importance. LLAP.

Errr...there's a specific exemption for that :P
Regulation 3(1)(b) amends regulation 110 by inserting an additional exemption to provide that a person is not in contravention of that regulation where the hand-held mobile telephone or interactive communication device is being used to make a contactless payment at a contactless payment terminal, in compliance with the requirements. Regulation 3(2) inserts definitions for the terms “contactless payment” and “an application”.

As such, the law does not prevent individuals from making contactless payments at drive-thrus.
Either put the seat belt on, or continue to be ever-so-slightly annoyed by the beeping...otherwise (and ignoring any legalities) if you code it out you risk forgetting to put it on when you do go out onto the road.

From a basic question on how to shut of an annoyingly loud beep (which it is, if we’re honest), to a slightly moralistic discussion on why you should always wear your seatbelt (which of course, you should).

Who would’ve thought…

Or use Mr Whippy to thrash the dashboard until it stops beeping
