b12 pro kit fitting

hi i have ordered the b12 kit for my car, is there anything else i will need or should change first, was looking if it is wise changing top mounts at front, and is there top mounts at back as well cheers

Might be worth checking if any bushes, tie rods etc that may need replacing or refreshing as you'll be conducting a comprehensive wheel alignment once all fitted. I'm no expert, its just my 2ps worth :thumbsup:

What’s the mileage?

I did mine at 28k. The rubber top mounts were in perfect condition. I did change the steering bearings and the rear top mount gaskets as I had them to hand. You will need new bolts and nuts though as they are supposedly one time use.

They will. The fastenings may be rusty and hard to remove so grab some Lemforder OE ones (pn: 17981 02)

cheers mate just picked up some lemforder drop links, did you bother with reinforcment plates on top mounts

I fitted an E46 M3 strut brace so that will help strengthen the strut turrets.

Once installed check the rear ride height as they could be different. Rear passenger has greater gap between wheel and the arch versus rear driver side which you can maybe just about fit a finger in. Apparently you can try adding thicker pads to reduce the discrepancy.

How long have you been waiting for the kit? Mine took I think 3 months roughly. Hope yours get here quicker.

Got mine in 2 days from evolve, I was shocked to be fair, I’ve got pro springs already on car but not noticed any difference, the kits being fitted tomorrow so will check this out thanks
