Hi Everyone,

Just like to say hello and introduce myself. I've been hankering over z4 Coupe for a while now and finally done it, I'm justifying it to myself and my wife as an early 60th birthday present. Picked it up last weekend and absolutely love it so far, but been at work all week so haven't had a lot of time to properly explore and investigate.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and I will post a few pics and details of the car as soon as I can get outside.

Steve.........

Welcome Steve, ah wifey got you doing a lot of jobs inside as penance?

Get the pics up, most of our members love pics, mainly due to their poor reading skills mind you. :P

Thanks for that. Yeh the wheels were the original option fitted to the car (18" Star-spoke 203), so I can't take any credit for them. They are nice though and I haven't seen them on many other z4's yet.

Hi and welcome to the forum, and Coupe ownership.

I can't remember seeing another one with those wheels, and it's good to have something distinctive. Plus 5 spoke wheels are easy to clean!

So I've had the car just over a week now - still love it just as much. Slowly building a list of things that need doing.
- Replace all the tyres. It's still on the original run-flats! I spotted that before I bought the car. 14 year old plus tyres - must be some sort of unenviable record. New tyres will definitely not be run flats :D
- Handbrake needs adjusting, appears to be very slack
- Stereo needs to be improved. Current system which is the DSP Hi-Fi option actually sounds very good, but is bit limited with only FM radio and single CD slot inputs. Having already spent several hours on the forum researching Hi-Fi upgrades (thanks to everyone for all the really useful threads on this topic) I now appreciate that having the DSP option is not all good news! Ideally I'm gonna look at options for DAB and BT.
- Mechanicals and fluid levels all look okay - but need to have a better look, when not quite so hot. Over the last few years the car doesn't seem to have been driven much and no evidence of much servicing over the same period apart from one recent oil change. So will need to investigate that a bit further. Service history was ok up to 17/18.
- Really needs a good clean and polish - but just too hot and dusty at the moment!

I'll likely start up a few other threads to get more advice on some of those topics.

Thanks again for all the welcomes.
