I wouldn't pay that much more for the later 30i unless you really want a manual box.

75K isn't a problem with the N52 engine in the 30i - my 330i daily has the same engine and it's still running fine on 118K miles!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Unfortunately it seems only if you're buying, never when you're selling.

I would happily sell an N20 facelift E89 Z4 with 27k miles, all the right toys, mapped, M sport, etc, etc, for £11k. I'm not allowed to, though, by order of the dishwasher. :)
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

What about the washer woman and ironer - surely they can out vote the dishwasher

They are one and the same person, mate. I can't afford more than one full-time servant.

It would be the 6pot E85 for me every time. The Newer car will be less to run though always a consideration.

Well that's not always true, my 2009 30i which I have had for 3 years and use daily has had zero issues but my 2017 Golf which I have had just over a year is sitting in the garage waiting to be towed to the mechanics as it's overheating! :(

I can second that I've remapped my auto 30i with XHP and its made a huge difference. I've had a F20 with the newer 8 speed and yes its a better box but when I sold it and got my Zed I didn't feel as though I was missing out a huge deal with the older 6 speed.

I usually treat running costs and failures/repairs, as two separate items. Perhaps should have written daily running costs. Should a bought a Mazda  .

Mine has both. :D Actually the main reason I have not replaced it. Even after some berk rammed it at a traffic light, about 2mins before I took this pic. Owes me nothing either, after the insurance paid me more than it's worth to keep it. :D
