How long are DVLA taking - Personalised Plates?

Has anybody had recent experience of transferring or retaining a personalised plate when selling their car please, how long are DVLA taking to get the new log book/MOT back to you?

One going through right now. It’s been 3 weeks so far and nothing yet.

Thanks, I guessed it wasn't going to be quick and the lack of a reg' document makes selling tricky

I bought an X3 for Mrs Boris a month or so ago. Initial log book came back in exactly two weeks, I then put a newly purchased private plate on it and the log book with the new number came back in about 3 days !

Done one few weeks ago,took around 2 weeks to turn around log book so I could put plate on.

My wife has had her new car three weeks and still nothing from DVLA about the transfer of her plate off her old car

A quick update, hats off to DVLA I did the plate swap on-line and the new log book arrived 4 days later!

I had a similarly good experience at the start of June when I put a different plate on my MX-5. I also used the online service.

Did one a couple of weeks ago (retention on a van being sold) was surprised to the the cert and new v5 back in less than a week.
