AFAIK the G29 is not offered with 17” tyres/wheels, when I ordered my Sport model 3 years ago 18” was the standard size. Non run flats were standard across the range and still are I believe.

Yes. I live in a small close with no through traffic so the snow takes much longer to melt. As if that wasn't enough my drive slopes down towards the house making it difficult for RWD cars to get off the drive.

True to form, having splashed out all that money for winter tyres we didn't have any snow last winter

Yes, I know you will probably use a recovery service instead, but as long as he damage isn't too bad 5 minutes will see you on your way again rather than at the mercies of your breakdown recoverers timescale.

Yes, this is the case in the UK. Other markets may vary - for instance, if you spec one up on the German configurator there's an 'Advantage' trim level below Sport, which appears to have 17" wheels, runflats and a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Just had a play to make sure that's still the case and interestingly they seem to have promoted the Live Cockpit Professional we're familiar with to standard equipment too - earlier in the year that was an optional extra on the Advantage line, where without it you got a traditional instrument cluster and (I think) a smaller iDrive screen.

Not gonna lie. My days of fixing a tyre myself are long gone. BMW assist all the way.

Also if you fill the tyre with the gunk, I’m pretty sure it can be repaired afterwards?

I'm currently on holiday but when I get back in a week's time it is my intention to sell my Z4 as I have too much money tied up in a car that I hardly use. The point of this post is to say that Have a set of Winter tyres stored at ATS which I won't be needing. They have only done between 1,000 and 1,500 miles and are as new and I'll put them up for sale when I finally do the deed

It seems that no-one here was interested so I put them up on Ebay and sold the set of 4 Continental WinterContact TS 860 winter tyres for just £250 so someone has bagged themselves a real bargain as they cost me £750 last November and still had 8mm of tread on each
