New member - on the hunt for a Z4

Post by KerryC » Sat Jun 25, 2022 7:19 pm

Hey guys!
Thought I’d join the forum and say hi! I’m currently on the look out for a Z4. I own a little Mini at the moment, but really want a convertible :)

Kerry,

With that budget you would be able to get a cracker

Edit: Don't get confused with the E89's 18i, 20i, 28i They are all the same, just different power out put's.
A high spec'd 18 or 20i will save you 1000's

Welcome to the forum Kerry.

Nothing wrong with a Mini. Mrs Tidy had an R50 followed by an R56 and I loved driving them, especially when she wasn't with me!

I hope your Z4 search goes well.

Hello and welcome, Nally is right get an 18i or 20i and remap up to the same output as the 28i

Heated seats and PDC are the main priorities when looking for most

Enjoy the search

Good advice, but make sure you get the features you really want.

Original buyers of 18i and 20is didn't tend to tick as many boxes on the options list - if they had the budget they would have probably spent it moving up the model range first!

Totally  I managed to get a 20i with everything, heated seats, steering wheel, cruise, PDC front and back, extended lighting, extended storage. Ski hatch ETC. Just without the compfort access that i did not want any way

Hi, try and get as many 'whistles and bells' as possible, some items can be retrofitted and some can't or without a lot of hassle and technical ability. Don't take for granted that cars will have certain extras, BMW like to make customers pay for everything. Oh and check the alloys for cracks, they don't particularly like runflat tyres (lots of owners change them).

Hi and welcome to the forum, good luck with your search
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.
