That's the spirit
Thought you had been quiet . Welcome back . May see you about as your`re not that far from me
We’ll after I have sorted the engine preventative maintenance out, I intend to put on non run flats all round. This with careful driving should reduce the risk. Yes there is still a risk but I really like them and will deal with them if they do crack. I will sort different wheels as I do not believe welding them will eliminate further cracking due to HAZ after welding.
Wow forget about the MacBook. Glad it’s going strong. I will update on my saga later tonight
Last we heard i think you were honeymooning perhaps ...Scotland...?.hope saga is car related and not about how the ring was dropped in the Loch!!??
Thats right. All good on that front. It’s our fist anniversary next weekZ4paul wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 5:03 pmLast we heard i think you were honeymooning perhaps ...Scotland...?.hope saga is car related and not about how the ring was dropped in the Loch!!??
A nice surprise when the car turns out to be better than you expected.Reamesy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 7:08 pm So went to view the car. Much better than I thought it would be. Full M Sport spec with front and rear PDC. Power folding mirrors, Bluetooth and Aux/USB. Heated sport seats, adaptive head lights.
But best of all; full BMW service history with all paperwork and receipts. Tyres all good but will be getting replaced with non run flats. All four wheels like new with no marks. Got right under and can see no evidence of repairs or cracks.
All four corners just had new discs and pads all genuine.
91,000 miles so not low but got it for £8000 which I’m happy with.
Now the bad bit. The son 35 lives in London but the car is at his dads. I checked current and previous addresses. The lates V5 is at his flat in London and the son is in France. So until he can get me the document reference we can not complete the log book. He taxed it so can be driven but had to leave it there until he gets back. Gutted but now looking forward to Sunday next
Not the end of the world and others no doubt having a much worse day than me
Cheers Mr Tidy. It makes the wait all the better. It’s my anniversary and retirement present so it’s my keeper. First job timing chain. I would love to do it myself but time and no current garage rules it out. I’m taking it to a BMW specialist in Tattenhall. I will do anything else. Full service as I don’t trust main dealers. Plus I get to know the car. Can’t waitMr Tidy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 8:16 pmA nice surprise when the car turns out to be better than you expected.Reamesy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 7:08 pm So went to view the car. It sounds like you've got a good deal too - hopefully that makes waiting a week less painful!
