ATE front discs
Just had a look at my front brake discs and decided to replace them. I see Autodoc have the front discs (ATE) for £174 each on their app, just wondering before making an order if anyone knew of cheaper?
I see I only have 20 minutes before the deal ends, so I'll likely just go for it anyway. Just thought I'd ask first incase anyone is still awake

Too late for you but ATE are an OE supplier to BMW so I’m sure they would be A OK
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

I used to use Autodoc a lot, before Brexit.
Since then they have been 'intermittent' in their service, and others have noticed the same. They show things as available when they aren't, and as they are EU based there have been duty/VAT issues. Autodoc are also onlinecarparts.com.
ATE Front discs are £218.09 today, or 13p dearer with onlinecarparts. and I have found in the past it is always worth checking a few times for their flash sales. The seem to be offering QH brand rears for under £45 a side.

The price seems to change every day, but yesterday was the cheapest I'd seen them at, I guess it goes in a cycle. They've told me the price is all inclusive, so we'll see what happens. Also noticed that the same parts are cheaper on their app than online.
I'm in no rush really, if they arrive within 3 weeks or so weeks that's fine.

Items are much slower than most eBay sellers but at least you know they aren’t going to be handling knock off copies

I put some suspension parts in my basket in the app for my E89, waited for about a week then got an email offering an additional 10% off, next day was either 36% or 38% discount on the app (can’t remember which now) - anyway, best deal I’ve had from them and the kit was delivered today
Just needs a bit of patience with them.

This was actually what I did, they were in my basket for a week or so, but I was slow in checking yesterday, so left it a bit late to ask how decent of a deal it actually was No additional 10% though.
Certainly a lot cheaper than Eurocarparts, I suppose it depends on how much of rush you're in at the time.
40% on the day I bought through the app, I think around 30% online at the same time. The only thing with the app is that you don't get the cashback from Topcashback, but it still should work out cheaper.

It’s the first time it’s happened, but I was surprised that the code worked on one of their higher discount days (it was a 36% off on the app on the day I double checked) - no cash back but excellent 46% discount. Best I’d had previously was 41%Jellyfishfields wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 9:14 pm This was actually what I did, they were in my basket for a week or so, but I was slow in checking yesterday, so left it a bit late to ask how decent of a deal it actually was No additional 10% though.

Call me frivalous but I'd rather pay £25 more and get them from bmw themselves rather than guessing when they might turn up.
You also get a 2 year fitted warranty.

You're saying your local BMW dealer can provide the discs for an extra £25, so £373 the pair?
If that's the case I may not be too late to cancel, can you tell me where that's from please?

The thing with Autodoc is that they are ideal for people who want to slowly accumulate a list then pounce when the discount i highest, but happy to accept a two week wait to get them in their mitts.
If you need them NOW then you have to cough up a little more and go local.
For the likes of me, who know they'll be picking up another project at some point, Autodoc is exactly what I need.
But it doesn't suit everyone.

I’ve just bought the Eibach Pro Street S coilover kit for my E89 and it was massively cheaper than any price I could find anywhere in the Uk. I know this is a decent kit too, shocks are made by KW (Stainless steel, same as the KW V1 kit) with progressive springs by Eibach… even say ‘Made by KW’ on the box. Very good ride quality.

Well 378 from Cotswold but I would also try Harry fairbairn.Jellyfishfields wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 5:48 pm You're saying your local BMW dealer can provide the discs for an extra £25, so £373 the pair?

I use autodoc etc for parts on my s**t box cars, no issue with them, but for the M I tend to go bmw for the genuine parts and 2 year fitted warranty on all parts that they provide. They really are 9/10ths of the time hardly more expensive than most of these online places selling oem parts. Speak to a dealer, don't look on their online shop or eBay etc.
