Z4MR breaking...regrettably I might add

Post by Wassup » Sat Jun 25, 2022 11:42 pm

Hi folks, busy day of heavy duty wrenching with removal of front end and engine, gearbox, radiators, coolers, headlights etc.
Not had a proper chance to inspect parts, will start on that early next week and reach out to those that expressed an interest. Watch this space...

The one on the car is properly butchered

However, I did purchase a brand new one from BMW when I first bought the car as I did intend in getting it fully resprayed with glass and seals out but clearly that didn't happen

Anyhow, think I paid £50 odd quid but its no use to me now. Happy to let it go for £50 posted (it's a fairly bulky bit of kit so won't be cheap posting). I'll put up a picture when I remember where I stashed it away...

Proper bitter sweet feeling to be honest, hopefully I'll get close to what it owes me and have a hoard of Z4M specific bits for my Coupe.

Hello, apologies I don't check the forum often, do you have a price on the wheel? + Pics? And if possible can I join the queue for the calipers and get a price

The original steering wheel was provisionally sold before I decided to break the car (I was running an E46 m sport wheel). Front calipers are £100 for the pair and rears are £80 for the pair. Let me know if your interested in the calipers.

I'll check compatibility this evening and get back to you but I'm definitely interested! + You have my name next to the wheel a page or two back I think

EDIT: just realised the m has the same brakes, nevermind! :?

Hi, could you please tell me the price for the steering rack and the price for the lower steering column (the bit covered in white plastic in the engine bay)? Thank you!

Not sure on pricing for the steering rack, I know it sought after due to the faster steering ratio (not a quick as the Z4MC), leave it with me and I'll do some research.

Hey, I'm sure you said you were after the z4 sport wheel which I said was provisionally sold and now been collected. I have the E46 m sport wheel going, which is totally compatible with our cars.

Ye I have the same issue on mine but its on both sides, I know its just aesthetic but annoys me. For the effort to replace il hold for one without. Thanks anyway.

Definitely would like to have first refusal on the Centre Silencer X pipe  piece below

Image
Exhaust is off the car and the catalytic converter has been separated (keeping it for the time being anyway). Looks like the previous owner(s) had the back boxes sleeved with the x pipe :headbang:
No fitment issues with back box alignment on the car and passed MOT on 30 May 22. I'll be replacing one off the tail pipes as it's creased with a genuine one off another back box that I aquired a few years back.

Price dropped from £400 to £300 for the x pipe and back Boxes complete.
