The DVLA has done that for me!

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

If you have the original bill of sale preferably with the dealers details and model and vin info then send a copy to the DVLA to request a change. I imagine the DVLA will need proof the vehicle is what you say it is. I would get it changed if only if you come to sell privately as it could put a buyer off.

All the original papers from the Dealers when we bought it are100% correct - it also shows the correct nomenclature on invoices for services/mot etc.

It was only yesterday when getting a new insurance quote that it became an issue, The Agent Insisted it was a Petrol Car and could only price the quotation as such.

I now have to phone on Monday when the underwriters office is open and explain once again !

My MR2 roadster was Sable in colour according to Toyota, DVLA classes them as silver on the V5.

The wackiest one I have heard on here is that some owners with a Ruby Black car have red on the logbook.

When I bought my G29 last month, I set up a monthly direct debit for the tax and paid the first month ( May) STMBO changed the account that the direct debit came out of with the bank and ever since we are receiving warning notices from the DVLA that my vehicle is not taxed but their own website says it is.

The payment from the new account is due on the 25 th of this month so hopefully these letters are just computer generated as it’s impossible to contact them to find out what is going on. :headbang:
