Blue brake calipers

Post by Johnbmwz4 » Sun Jun 12, 2022 4:59 pm

So been pondering about getting some brake caliper covers fitted on my car but decided against it due to bad fit and potentially a tacky cheap look. So went for the painting option instead. Cost £12.50 on paint and £4 on M Sport stickers. Took around 1.5hr each wheel but I did take my time and had to do 2 coats of paint. The paint I bought was a 150ml tin and still have around a quarter left. I’m quite happy with the results. What do you fellow Zedders think?

Very nice, good workmanship.

Can't help wondering though...................... stick an M badge on the bodywork and the world descends on you, but stick them on the callipers and everyone admires them. :?

Ha ha yeah good point. I thought they may be a bit too big but they dont look too bad. I got 3 sizes of stickers and went for the middle size

Ha ha, I’d love to but my knees are shot….I actually enjoyed doing it and had no intention of doing all 4 wheels in one day but once I got started and saw how good they looked I couldn’t stop until all done

Need some caps on the bolts next.

Someone nicked a bolt and the chrome cap of my car, barstwards :x
I'm guessing it was whilst the car was on my home gated car park.

Not usually a fan of painting calipers anything other than silver but these look good. Contrast with alloys & white body of the car works. Good job. (I did mine silver).

Admittedly it was a gamble and if I didn’t like the way they looked I was just going to paint them silver or black but turned out good so blue it is.

Nice, but please help me out with my OCD and orient your wheel centres so the “BMW” is the same way up as the M badge.
