PH have been bigging up the Z4MC today...sadly prompting it as a way into the engine for those who can't afford the M3, rather than promoting any of the positives about the car.

Just watch those values soar
The wife's just had its MOT today, oddly it is online, but the garage hasn't phoned me yet to say it is done. Rather more disappointingly the mileages for the last 3 tests are 44648, 44927, and today 45768 so a whopping 841 miles this year, compared to a miserable 80 the previous year after you knock off the 200 miles we drove it when we moved from Exeter to Shrewsbury.

2006 Imola Z4MC (wife's shopping trolley)

2016 Toyota Avensis 1.6D (yup, the *really* slow one).
2011 TDM900
1997 VFR750 project. 95% complete. Only 30% left to do.

Interesting. I had no Idea E46 M3s commanded north of 10k.. These days They will always be ugly heavy fast taxis in my primitive brain. But I get that I am probably in the minority there. I drove a few back in their day. Never understood the draw. Very predictable and risk free, but nothing like as much fun as driving my MR. Or as quick for that matter.

Sad article really given that I've always thought the Z4MC was much better looking than the E46. And you don't have to worry about split boot floors with the Z.
Plus I can't help thinking sitting in an M3, apart from the engine obviously, would feel much like sitting in any other E46!
I love the low seating position just in front of the rear wheels in the Z4. That makes it feel like a sports car in a way an M3 just wouldn't.
Still if it drives up prices of MCs I won't mind.
But I had to smile when I read the comment about the advertised one not having CSLs.

I agree with all the above, never wanted an E46 but was immediately in love with the Z4m from the moment I saw one.
Reading the PH comments you’d think the Z4m was undrivable Unpredictable, worse than a TVR! (That guy always crops up on anything related to the Z4m) so congratulations chaps, we must all be driving gods to have survived so far!
Last I looked the M was quicker round the ring than the hallowed E46 M3, not that I place much stock in that but it goes to show it’s more than capable in the right hands.

Careful, he's still on here sometimes!
But then he preferred his 330d to his 330i.

Exactly, never found the e46 attractive, kind of Blah really, you can't say that about a Z4.
