Return of the roof problems

Post by Z4Shane007homas » Sun May 15, 2022 7:17 pm

Some of you may remember that I had a problem with hydraulic fluid leaking, well the last couple days I have noticed it started again. I have had a look, and does not appear to be coming from the parts that were replaced last year.

About a week ago I did see a small little washer broken in the boot, I'm assuming this could be where it is coming from. Hopefully this is all it is, I have stopped using the roof until I get it sorted.

Hopefully I will get a local BMW specialist to have a look tommorow.

I had months of enjoying trouble free motoring.

Hell, not good but lets hope you have noted the issue and its sounds like a quick, cheap fix

Those small plastic washers seem to break on multiple cars, but we didn't identify a problem based on this.

From my point of view, this broken washer does not correlate to the hydraulic issue. Where can the oil be seen on your pics?

Shane; firstly sorry you are having more issues. Secondly, respond to Robbi, he will diagnose the issue for you. He is a genius! :D
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Important lessons learned:
Always replace a faulty component on both sides of the car, not only a single component.
