Hi folks
Took a while to join up but have been browsing and gaining a lot of knowledge so thanks for that.
Went mad and sold a mk2 Escort which was starting to get tatty and bought myself a Ruby Black 3.0si Coupe with enough change left to restore a mk2 Cortina GT so should end up with two nice cars for the price of one.
Really enjoying the Coupe much much nicer to drive than the Escort but perhaps not just as cool....

Welcome to the forum, nice looking coupe
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Massive change - had the Escort 16 years and really loved my time with it. Their value has just went mental for what they are and it just didn't make sense to me to put another £10k into it and still only have an Escort that would be getting to the sort of value you started to get overly protective and wary. Now I have the Z4 which is lovely to drive and by next summer will have the Cortina for an old skool fix when I need it. Only bad thing is the Cortina is munching the spare change and the Z4 will have to stay completely stock for quite a while!

No its a very tidy 1600 GT - a rust free car from Malta - will be a dark red (Red II) with gold wheels and rear panel.
