So my neighbour need a jump start from my car.

So before I help, I’ve heard horror stories about BMW blowing things when connected to another car and I don’t want to cause myself any damage.

What’s the safe way to jump another car?

Dont.

When I had BMWs through a company car scheme, we had to sign to say we wouldn’t jump start. I can’t remember the exact reason but I seem to recall it was fried ECUs.

Russ Z4, that’s what I thought. Don’t care how hot she is, she can call the AA. ;)

Just get her to push the car (from the rear) and you sit in the driving seat and drop the clutch in second gear? Obviously, whilst looking in the mirror.

Try three or four times effect

Or keep a jump pack in your garage for such situations.

This reminds me, my mate bought a Land Rover for ferrying hot nurses to work when we had those winters of heavy snow. As soon as he bought the Land Rover, he hasn’t had opportunity to be that knight in shining armour once!

Sods law. :headbang:
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I suspect the thing will be rusted through before the day comes!
