Another weird roof problem

Post by Snecaise68 » Sun May 01, 2022 5:32 am

When opening the roof on my 2012 28i, the windows go down normally, but when the rear shell starts to open, only the left side raises a few inches and then the bong and flashing red led start. I can see the hydraulic cylinder moving, but it's like something has the right side locked down. I scanned, but found no codes. Any suggestions? I searched everywhere, but can't find anyone having this issue. Thank you.

Could be lack of hydraulic pressure not operating the right ram.
Look under the boot floor cover where pump is.
Through the foam or under it are two brass things with hex holes in.
Make sure these are fully locked clockwise.

Could even back off and gently re-tighten.
