E89 third brake light replacement

Hi - are there any guides out there to help with replacing the third brake light? Mine's full of condensation and it's a matter of time before it goes. Googled it to death but nothing found. Thanks.

You can search for the part on realoem to see the diagram of how it goes together.

Not a guide for disassembly, but you can see where the screws are located.

I believe there are two screws under the boot trim on the underside of the lid.

Once removed, you could probably dry it out.

you can pop the rear cover off and stick a warm air blower in the back for a while.
it will dry it out, but it will come back again.
its a stop gap until you replace it..
replaced both of mine over the last couple of years......

Real OEM isn't helping too much with the removal work needed.

Realoem can be confusing sometimes.

You often need to look in an obscure category to find the correct diagram.
