French Riviera (Côte d'Azur) road trip

Post by zriha » Sat Apr 09, 2022 11:55 am

So, gents, I invested almost 1000 GBP in preventive maintenance of my Zed and now I am excited that we are going for an epic road trip to French Riviera. Zed got new cooling lines, belts, tyres, and oil, I don't know what else it needs. I will pack a few litres of oil for a refill. :D

Starting point: Zagreb, Croatia
Ending point: Avignon, France

Route:

So, roughly the plan is:
Zagreb to Genova - 780 km - about an 8-hour drive - there we will be for a couple of days
Genova - San Tropez - 300 km - 4-hour drive with stop - Monaco (I need to drive my Zed on the famous track and in the famous tunnel :) ). We will stay in San Tropez for a couple of days.
San Tropez - Avignon - 200 km - 3 hour drive

Returning home:
Avignon to Milan - 580 km - 6-7 hour drive with a stop in Cannes and maybe Nice - plan to come to Milan at night.
Milan - Zagreb - 635 km - 6-7 hour drive

I will put here photos, and reports on everything. :) We booked almost all accommodations.

If you were in those cities and have some recommendations on what to see or eat, please let me know! :)

Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Excuse my ignorance but what are rats tails for cars, something to do with tyres? Or a joke I'm missing? :headbang:

Thanks, mate, I have a compressor and a tyre repair kit in my booth. I just bought new tyres - Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, so I hope it will all be ok. :)
