Tires (or Tyres) not Recognized

Post by vanlieremead » Sun Mar 13, 2022 12:19 am

Hi

How many G29 owners get this alarm on the center screen at startup? What is the fix if I may ask?

Thanks

BMW found the problem. There was a nail. As the car was conveyed to me in this condition, BMW replaced the tire for free. Arrowhead steps up.

In the same way that most people have a smart phone and not a NOKIA 3310 :D

If you take the time and enter the information about what tyres you have, say winter tyres and their size, it will tell you the correct pressures at the current temperature, it’s called progress.

and of course something else to go wrong :(

I think the "systems" are fine when they work but I strongly suspect they are often beyond the comprehension of some of the bods in the workshops. Mrs K's 335 has been i for a total of six working days to get the auto dip/ anti dazzle headlights sorted.

Gone are the days when even a fairly talented owner can sort a problem.

And in the 'good old days' the cars weren't packed with all kinds of weird technology that firstly insulates you from what is going on, then feeds you artificial information to compensate.
Back then, if a tyre lost some pressure, you could actually feel it 'through the seat of your pants'.

Yeah back in the days cars wouldn’t start on a cold day. Every morning hearing starter motors whining.
Miss the days of constant head gasket failures.
Miss the days of manual choke.
Miss the days of no central locking.
Miss the days of aircon being exclusively on luxury cars and costing a fortune.
Miss the days of cars rusting after a few years.
Miss the days of warranty being for 1 year only.
Miss the days of exhaust systems needing to be replaced frequently.

Come on guys…..cars are more realisable now then they have ever been.
