Z8 coupe, almost

Post by john-e89 » Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:22 pm

Just doesn't look quite right, you can see the front half is roadster and the rear coupe, they don't quite gel as one flow, imho of course. Much better things to throw that sort of cash at.

It's a Coupe so surely I ought to love it?

Front is great, double-bubble roof is too but somehow everything behind the roof doesn't quite work for me.

Still at that price it's purely academic. :o
Coupes because stunning!

Two threads have been combined into one - I started this one and jollyjoiner started the other - I suspect you visited the dead thread baby!

Having looked at still images on a full-size screen, I agree there’s something that isn’t quite right about it, but I’d like it anyway :)

The thing about the Top Gear video is he keeps saying "it's based on the Z8" but it's not, it's based on e86 Z4 Mcoupe, it looks like a Z8 and that's great, the Z8 is stunning. But put that car on a hoist and you're going to see an e86 MC, not a Z8. However the Oletha is a beautiful piece of work and those guys should be very proud of this project, I wish they sold it as a kit.

From some angles, you can almost see the Z4 coupe hiding under its skin :D

Almost? All I see is my old car in black with an ugly front end.

A for effort, C for attainment.
