AA at it again. 1/3 off Breakdown Cover.

Post by caius » Tue Jan 18, 2022 2:04 pm

I had a thought driving home through North Wales yesterday in the Zed that it was the only vehicle in the fleet without breakdown cover on it. This comes as a very timely link, managed to get two person cover for not much more than just covering the Zed specifically.

Thanks!

Believe me everything breaks down.

Donโ€™t forget punctures , flat batteries and even if you get a warning light come up you can call them out. Doesnโ€™t have to be a catastrophic failure.

Does breakdown insurance escape the new legislation that applies to motor insurance and home insurance then?

maybe they get around it by having everyone on an 'introductory' rate, which reverts to the 'normal' rate after 1 year?

Iโ€™m not sure how the new legislation works in regard to breakdown cover.
They were talking about all the changes they had to make to the new systems in readiness for the new year before Christmas but I donโ€™t think it has any relation to breakdown cover.

Hi Stuart, what level of cover does this include as it seems a bit unclear from the link?

Iโ€™d be looking at the โ€˜two personโ€™ cover.

Taken out 2 person cover for me & the Mrs. she was paying nearly ยฃ9 month just for her specific car with greenflag, so seemed rude not to really!
