Back in the Summer I sold my beloved 3.5is to a fellow Forum member because I had hardly used it in the previous 18 months. It has changed hands again and now owned by another Forum member. It wasn’t long before I really missed top down motoring. So after a bit of searching I’ve found a replacement which didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Drove it home from Norfolk yesterday and really enjoyed myself. It’s a 2004 2.5 SE with 63000 miles on the clock and a full service history. It came with bonus of the sought after plastic hood covers. Although I don’t think I will use them much. Needs a bit of cosmetic work and a wheel refurb but overall is in good condition. Photos attached.

Congratulations Ian.
I thought you were showing Z4 withdrawal symptoms so it's great to see you have another one and it looks really smart. Even if you don't use it much that will just make it feel more special when you do.
I just hope Mrs D approved!
Iain.

Oh yes she’s happy Iain. It will keep me off the streets and out of trouble. I need to get some cosmetic issues sorted out and to find out if electric heated seats are a straight forward plug in replacement. There was a post recently referring to the date BMW stopped including the appropriate connections for this. Hopefully I will find it. I also need to sort out having the roof motor moved to the boot. So plenty to do.

I'm pretty sure BMW didn't stop fitting the full wiring loom until some time in 2004 so yours should have the wiring in place. It might be worth having a root about under the seats to find the connectors. Then it looks like you might be visiting "bigwinn" for the roof motor.
Enjoy your fettling!
