Window auto resets?

Post by supadupa64 » Sat Nov 20, 2021 2:14 pm

My window only works (as far as I can tell) when the temperature is above about 62 degrees. If its colder it does not work and I usually know when it is available to use because it AUTOMATICALLY rolls itself down about 3 inches at a time until its all the way down. After I wait approximately 15 seconds it works fine. Haha this is crazy.

Anybody know why this happens?

It's checking to make sure there's no-one out there with a gun before it fully exposes you.

It's only the driverside window and it only happens while I'm driving. Maybe something is wrong with my entire electrical system...

I have a code that says my gas isn't reading correctly, but it perfect and always works... dunno.

If I were you I’d pop the switch out for a look

As it’s temp related it may be something causing the plastic to trigger the window mech?

Ok nice I'll try to reset it.

P0461 code. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the car that I can see. Maybe I'll make a new thread for this.

Window auto resets?

I reset my passenger side window and it now auto rolls itself which is great.

Driver side actually rolled itself down while I was working on the car (had engine running) and then was stuck down for 3 days until the temperature was back up to 68 degrees... Yeah this is crazy. Not sure why it has to be warm for this thing to work properly. The window actually doesn't work at all unless it's about 68 degrees or warmer on the temperature read.
