Do these use magnets to hold the rear part down?

Yes there are magnets in seams but they also secure in the boot lip, door frames and bonnet - I was very pleased with the quality and functionality having had the equivalent one they make for the Z3.

I have one and if I didn't I would buy this one.
Very good fit and only takes a few seconds to put on/take off.
