I'd agree were it not for the new gt3 series moving to double wishbone at the front, a big step from the macpherson arrangement really.
Still, what an amazing car

It’ll be a lovely thing. I wonder what the overs will be for it in the first 6 months, surely a cayman can’t be £200k… :?

I have read £100K Overs initially. Whilst not a numbered car, the production will be limited with an allocation of 1 car at most per OPC in Q4 2021 and not alot more next year. I have spent an inordinate amount of time on the configurator and I am smitten. Unfortunately even if I could afford one I would never get a build slot in a month of Sundays.

No it's not, which is why the GT3 is still really the car to have imo. But I wouldn't say no to the gt4rs, I have a half chance of getting my hands on one, let's see.....

“The GT3 always has huge competition around it. Everybody's trying to match the GT3’s status, its value package and its performance on the track. So we are eager to give the GT3 everything we can to let it stay on pole position, like the double wishbone front axle, the rear-wheel steering. It has all these gizmos that makes the car really fast,” Preuninger explains.

Ahh bugger! Suppose they can't give it everything!

Would be awesome if you managed to pick one up 8)

Did you watch the lap they did with the test car? Loads left in there... Sub 7 min car all day long

Firstly it is still (and always will be) a 'poor man's 911'.
Admittedly the Cayman has come on leaps and bounds in recent incarnations, but still a 911 'light'. :o
Secondly, there is no need for an apostrophe in 911s. It is a plural, plurals don't have them. No need to thank me
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

I really don’t like the rear of them, such a shame. Compared to a 911 it just looks weird.

Anyway, no manual box means that it would never be a car for me.

No point lusting after any of them, without buying 2-3 cars in a year you won't get close to a list. Even when they are available they will be double the RRP just like the current GT3.

Went to redline recently and they had 5 in a row all were 100%+ mark up at £250k for a standard GT3 literally insane.

They are the cream of the crop but 250k...
