Sod all the 911's....
Firstly it is still (and always will be) a 'poor man's 911'.
Admittedly the Cayman has come on leaps and bounds in recent incarnations, but still a 911 'light'. :o
Secondly, there is no need for an apostrophe in 911s. It is a plural, plurals don't have them. No need to thank me
Hmmm not sure about that. Some people opt for a Cayman over a 911 :fuelfire:

I was going to add, the poor man's 911 quotes died about 10 years ago now. .. :tumbleweed:

A manual Cayman RS would probably be my dream car!

I have had 3 x 911's

I have had one Cayman...

The Cayman knocks them out of the park..

Its a saying in the Porsche world "if you wanna go fast buy a 911,but if you wanna go faster buy a Cayman"...

True that..

A manual would certainly command a premium in years to go, if only to avoid the expensive pdk repairs.

What I did find a bit annoying with a cayman was that as there are no back seats, that you cannot adjust the driver seat very well without hitting the box behind the seat.
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo

Isnt a 911s a different model to a 911?

How many 911s (sic) or Caymans have you owned?

Yup!

Extremely unlikely, but the friend I would buy it with has a good relationship with their opc, they've had carrera gt, 991.2 speedster, 991.1 GT3RS etc through them, so there is a small chance.
RedUn wrote: Fri Nov 19, 2021 11:35 pm Did you watch the lap they did with the test car? Loads left in there... Sub 7 min car all day long
I didn't watch the whole thing but there is a vaguely interesting comparison done by that mischa guy. I didn't realise but the Cayman also loses the multi link rear set up as well as the double wishbone front.
Lord knows what the new GT3RS will be like :o

Cayman has the engine in the right place (compared to 911) and without the unnecessary seats for starters!
