Speed Warning Beep

Is there any way to remove the speed warning beep that someone has added to my car at some point. Beeps every time it hits motorway speed and flashes the speed on the screen.

Have a feeling it might need to be coded out but if there’s a hidden menu somewhere that would be really handy as it’s pretty irritating!

If you have the nav, it's in there somewhere under computer settings.

Yes go into onboard omputer and set speed limiter

Well every day is a school day - I never knew about that crazy feature!

Mind you my first 2 didn't have Sat Nav and it obviously hasn't been set on my current one - thankfully.

Well not for any speed I have reached so far.

That's a pain!

I wonder if Carly could remove it if you can find someone local? Failing that I'm sure a good BMW Indy could code it out. Having that would drive me nuts.

Yeah there’s a couple of other bits that need sorting with Carly so I will contact someone local and see if they’re willing to help out. Thank you.

Damn wonder how they managed to set the thing in the first place! There must be a way, what a pain.
Have you tried nipping into BMW and asking them, surely they can plug it in and find out what the story is and they shouldnt even charge for that hopefully!

So what is this ‘screen’ it is flashing the warning on if you have no screen

What head unit do you actually have? Have you got a photo of it?

Is it a business nav unit like this?

Or a business radio one like this?

Sorry, I’ll clarify as my wording was poor and I shouldn’t have said screen. It flashes up on the dash where the temp, miles are displayed. Same beep and warning as when it’s cold. I have the business radio.

Thanks, I assumed that BMW would charge a hefty fee to do it at the dealer but it’s worth asking the question!
