30 beep

Post by MikeyH » Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:17 am

Driving today on way to garden centre in 30 mph limit and get a loud beep. Loud enough to make me jump, look at dash and it’s showing 30 with stars either side. Anyone know what this is please. It went away, if it was a modern car it could be a speed limit warning but it’s a 2004 z4 e85. And it has never happened before. Strange!
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I think it was showing "3.0" as in degrees Centigrade!

Just to warn you of the possibility of ice on the road.
Coupes because stunning!

Oh, that would make sense, it was very frosty when we left. Just a coincidence that we were in a 30 mph speed limit. Many thanks Mr Tidy.

That’s a good idea, 75. I’ll have a look at that. Considering how long ago these cars were made they seem to have a lot of useful tricks on them.

It made me jump so much that if there had been ice on the road I’d have been a gonner. :o
