z4 no.13 - looks like its staying...
Well, here we have Z4 no.13 , i purchased it on 1st July of this year from a forum member.
It was a bit tatty & rough round the edges but its the basis of a good car.
Its a 2.5si Sport individual in 'nacht blau' with 'champagne walknappa' interior.
It has a few nice bits from factory:
M sport packet.
heated seats
PDC
MFSW
Wind deflector
Individual stitched leather dash / piano black centre console
M135 (MV2) Style wheels.
This is how it looked when i first bought it.
Standard but with some 17" E89 wheels. However, the previous owner had just fitted a set of 19" BBS LM Replicas i managed to do a deal on, so i drove it home like this;
First job as the roof was non- functional was a trip to TZS in st helens. It was soon rectified and replaced in the boot as well as fitting a set of MM exhaust tips that were lying around - bonus!
I then lowered it on some maxpeedinrod coilovers. Rears weren't low enough for me so i got a set of rear coilover springs from driftworx which sit nicley.
I got bored of the LM's quickly but fitted a set of red centre caps first - think it looked nice to be fair - but then sold them on.
Then i found a set of M359's cheap -they were decent offsets and specs - 9J front et35 - 10J rear et40 - had them refurbed in silver - i liked this set up , kind of wish i'd kept them now but got offered good money in swap for some MV2's plus cash my way
I decided to put it up for sale after that, removed the coilovers and gave it a go on the market. Hoewver just managed to get nothing but time wasters
during this time , i bought a little 2.0 se in thinking i could do with having a cheap and cheerful z4 but in reality, who was i kidding, its got to be a 6 cyl - so i sold that for what i paid for it to a mate.
So after deciding to keep it, i then bought a set of CM Wheels CSL reps in 'hyper black' which is like a gunmetal grey colour and fitted a maxton design kit - this looked quite mean, oh, and fitted some gloss black kidneys
again after this, my ADHD got the better of me and i put it up for sale once more. Queue a load more timewasters, worse than ever this time it was really getting me down, so took it off sale on monday and I'm now going to keep it until at least spring (place your bets )
I'm on the hunt for some 19s at the mo but it currently sits like this;
Heres the interior too - my fave bit of the car;
So there we go, over the time ive had it i've also
fitted a smoked 3rd brakelight
machine polished the car
water proofed the roof
fitted a ZHP knob
replaced aftermarket headunit with OEM
repainted the steering wheel controls
fitted a citroen ariel
replaced the battery
fitted new wiper blades
fitted LED headlight bulbs
So yeah, nothing exciting - just the usual 100 sets of wheels and a set of coilovers to keep me ticking over

With that colour combo and all the tidying you've done to it, I think that's a good decision.

Lovely spec, quite rare too Love the interior, really goes well with the deep blue. The MV2’s are a classic though the reps you had before also worked for me.
Good call on keeping it; it’s a lovely looking car and with all the work you’ve put in it’d be a shame to see it go really

Four Alfa's and a Ducati later, I've turned to the dark side...

Lovely looking car, I don’t think I have ever seen someone change their alloy wheels so many times in such a sort period

When I first joined the forum a few years ago I remember you appeared to be buying and selling wheels so much I thought that you must be a dealer. Then I realised that you are just an enthusiast who gets bored with the 'right choice' and chases another set of alloys, coilovers or whatever. I like what you have done to all your cars and have no doubt that you are a proper ZedHed.

I'm glad you are keeping it. I know you'd regret selling as soon as it drove away!
It's a great colour combination so just enjoy it.
