Carly OBD : What do I need to buy please?
Morning all, who here has a Carly OBD? Thinking of buying one for my 2006 Z4 2.5 as I'd like to customise a few things like indicators coming on when unlocking, fold hood back up off the fob etc. On the Carly do I just need to purchase the OBD reader for £124.90? I'm sure I read somewhere that you also have to pay a subscription fee too?
Cheers!
Cheers!

You need a subscription is you want all the features (about £70/yr if I recall correctly), otherwise there is a free version with some limited functionality (the website should detail the differences)

I picked up the adaptor on here- think someone had one for sale a while back
I then used the full subscription which gave access to all brands- as I had a few cars i needed to use it for
Useless on Citroen, Volvo
So buy the BMW specific subscription which is excellent, you can code a lot on an 06 car

I think the outlay is quite expensive, unless you know you'll be using it lots. I've found myself using the c310 more, even though I've got Carly. But obviously if you're doing "coding" then you'll need carly or similar. A standard scan tool won't cut it

Pain in the arse they switched to a subscription model. I'd have got one otherwise. If anyone is in the Southampton/Hants area and has one I'd be happy to pay something to code a couple of features...

I made a thread in the forum services, I haven't updated the first page, but the content is there, even if now its a little dated

Carly OBD : What do I need to buy please?
Okay, so I think I've managed to pick up a used Carly ODB from a Z4 group member on FB. Now I presume I need to download the Android app and pay for the subscription. Am I right in thinking there are two levels of subscription - one for around £59 for BMW only and one for 'all cars' which is more expensive?
Also, has anyone posted or seen a list of what coding options Carly can provide? Ta!!

As I said, still need to update it fully. But check the first page, and then the last 2 or 3 pages.
