Yeah maybe. I was really looking Z4M roadsters once, but still want something else because I had E85 once. I know different beast, but still and maybe newer car, just with older recipe.

Doesn’t really exist imo, unless you go down the Porsche route.

Guess it'll have different spring rates and damper tune given it's a heavier car.

Does the 20i and 30i have adaptive suspension? If not, suspect that will be the biggest difference.
I keep hearing about how good the ride is, especially on the M40i.

My M30i has the adaptive suspension but is (To me anyway) firm as hell, even in comfort mode. Perhaps I just got used to how comfortable the ride was in my 35is even in sport. I think I read somewhere that earlier models were stiffer. Perhaps I have one of the last of those?

Must admit the handling is far better than the 35is though.

Must try a test drive in an M40i to compare in terms of ride quality.

I wonder how much the improved handling is down to the better rubber?

Here's another season when i didn't get around to changing!
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Which rental company has z4 for hire? Or, was it those local only company or rented directly from the owner?

Nanu, my 718 was a harder ride than my M30i is.
Abstinence is fine, in moderation.

it may just be me getting old.

May try and get a test drive of another M30 m sport to compare just in case there is an issue with mine.

Still happy with her though but if I can catch STMBO in a good mood at some point and there happens to be an M40i available in SFR at the right price, who knows? :D

You found the 35is comfortable in sport?! Maybe my suspension is broken...

My '22 sDrive 30i with M Sport package (not adaptive suspension) has a very comfortable ride, much better than my '19 MINI Cooper S convertible had. I'm very pleased with handling AND ride.
